St. Xavier's wins title

ALUVA: St. Xavier's College defeated Assumption College, the Mahatma Gandhi University champion, for the second time this week and won the women's title in the 36th UC Trophy all-Kerala basketball tournament at the Union Christian College courts here on Thursday.

Ligi (20) and Neena (19) scored for St. Xavier's in its 53-37 victory. — Principal Correspondent
