BSFI team for Asian Games

NEW DELHI: The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) announced a 17-member Indian team for the Doha Asian Games.

World billiards champion Pankaj Advani will compete in billiards singles only, while Ashok Shandilya and Geet Sethi will join together for the doubles event.

The team: Billiards: Singles: Ashok Shandilya and Pankaj Advani; Doubles: Ashok Shandilya and Geet Sethi; Snooker: Singles: Yasin Merchant and Manan Chandra; Doubles: Merchant and Chandra; Team: Merchant, Aditya Mehta and Rupesh Shah. 8-ball pool: Dharmender Lily and Alok Kumar; 9-ball pool: Sumit Talwar and Mohammed Asim; Carom: Ranjan Kosaraju and B. Bhaskar. Women: 8-ball pool: Anuja Thakur and M. Chitra; 9-ball pool: Vidya Pillai and Meenal Thakur. — Principal Correspondent
