Exfiltration bid foiled in Kashmir
Srinagar:
The police foiled an exfiltration bid by militants when they arrested 10 of them in north Kashmir before they could cross over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK).
Militants detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Sangam road in Anantnag district on Saturday in which a security personnel was injured.
The police on specific information apprehended a group of youth from different villages of Handwara area in Kupwara district on Friday night, who were planning to exfiltrate to POK for getting arm's training.
Security forces apprehended a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant in Thuru village, in Udhampur district, along with a 12 bore gun and 12 electronic detonators on Friday night. UNI
