ANANTAPUR: It was a golden double for Gautam Krishna, who clinched the boys cadet and mini-cadet crowns of the Andhra Pradesh state ranking table tennis tournament at the Anantapur Club here on Saturday. S. Akshi and K. Harshitha claimed the girls mini cadet and cadet titles respectively. The biggest upset of the tournament was P. Vignay Reddy's 11-5, 18-16, 13-11, 11-8 defeat of international Shubham Sharma in the men's quarter-finals. Reddy's reliable block, optimism and will to win saw him prevail over the second seed.Timely tips and confidence building by coach T. Dhananjay Reddy saw K. Harshitha, come back from two games down to defeat S. Akshi in the cadet girls final. Earlier, the finalists and officials were introduced to the chief guest Gandhi Reddy and Dr. Akbar Saheb, President of Anantapur Club.
