NEW DELHI: Zimbabwe, the youngest team in the ICC Champions Trophy, on Saturday said it was still in the process of rebuilding and this tournament would be key to its future prospects. "We are a very young side with an average age of around 21 and what could be a better stage than Champions Trophy to get international exposure," said Zimbabwe coach, Kevin Curran. Zimbabwe was the first of the 10 cricket playing nations to reach the capital for the event billed as the mini-World Cup.Zimbabwe will play Champions Trophy qualifying event involving four teams West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh being the other countries. Two teams will qualify to join the six seeded teams in the knockout event. "We will try and win two of the three matches," said Curran. The team: P. Utseya (capt.), C.J. Chibhabha, E. Chigumbura, T. Duffin, A.J. Ireland, T. Kamungozi, H. Masakadza, S. Matsikenyeri, T. Mupariwa, E.C. Rainsford, H.P. Rinke, V. Sibanda, G.M. Strydom, B.R.M. Taylor (wicket-keeper). Coach: Kevin Curran.
