Minister says UDF campaign is politically motivated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Local Self-Government Minister Paloli Mohammed Kutty has said that the United Democratic Front (UDF) Government's attempt was to implement the Universal Health Insurance Scheme (UHIS) without clearance from the Central Government and even before entering into any formal agreement with ICICI Lombard.

Mr. Mohammed Kutty told a news conference outside the Assembly on Wednesday that the UDF Government launched the scheme without securing the clearance from the Centre.
