MOSCOW: The ongoing construction of the Koodankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu and India's interest in building six more reactor units came up for discussion between Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission Anil Kakodkar and his Russian counterpart Sergei Kiriyenko in Vienna. Mr. Kakodkar and Mr. Kiriyenko met in Vienna on Monday on the sidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) session, according to a release by the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency. "The sides noted positive dynamics of the Koodankulam construction project. The Russian delegation affirmed the Indian interest in building another six power units and reactors of the same type." PTI
