Chemplast, Hyderabad joint-winners

HYDERABAD: Defending champion Chemplast and host Hyderabad were declared joint-winners of the three-day final of the all-India Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup invitation cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

With heavy rains forcing abandonment of play at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal) for the second day on Tuesday and the possibility of play on Wednesday also unlikely, the organisers decided to abandon the final altogether and named the two teams as the joint-winners.

The prize distribution function will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the venue. — Principal Correspondent
