SEBI signs MoU with Chinese regulator

MUMBAI:
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) on the enhancement of regulatory co-ordination between SEBI and CSRC.
The MoU was signed by Fulin SHANG, Chairman, CSRC, and M. Damodaran, Chairman, SEBI, in Beijing.
After signing the MoU, Mr. Damodaran said that with the integration of the world economy as also increasing cross border transactions, the need for co-operation and information sharing among regulators had increased manifold and, therefore, the signing of the MoU between the capital market regulators in two of the fastest growing economies was an important landmark in securities market regulation, stated a press release issued by SEBI here on Monday.
MCX ties up with ZCE

Meanwhile, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) on Monday said it had entered into an agreement with China's Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) to explore areas of co-operation for mutual benefit.
