Pope should have been more careful: Congress

NEW DELHI: Reacting to the remark by Pope Benedict XVI, the Congress on Friday said that besides being a religious leader he was the Head of a State and should have been "more careful in making statements that might hurt sentiments of other people."

To a question whether the Pope should apologise for his remarks, Congress spokesman Satyavrat Chaturvedi said here: "We leave it to his wisdom."
