Rahul, Anila triumph

SHASTHAMCOTTA: Rahul Ratnakumar and A. Anila (both from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram) won the men's and women's titles respectively in the Kerala University inter-collegiate chess tournament here on Thursday.

Rahul finished with six points in six rounds. Kukku Ramesh (Government Ayurveda College) came second with 4.5 points as he had a better progressive score than Sajan (NSS College, Cherthala) who was third with 4.5 points.

Anila topped the table with five points and was followed by Reji (TKM College of Engineering) with four points and Anju (St. Micheal's, Cherthala) with three points respectively.
