MADURAI: The Teachers' Recruitment Board examination for direct recruitment of post-graduate assistants for various subjects in Government schools will be held in Madurai on September 17. The written test will be conducted at six centres in the city for which 2,362 candidates are expected to appear in the district. K. Sridevi, District Chief Educational Officer, in a press release, said that the arrangements for the TRB test had been completed. The examination for the posts of Tamil and political science assistants and physical education directors will take place at Capron Hall Higher Secondary School for 375 candidates. At Chandler Matriculation Higher Secondary School, the examinations for history and geography will be held for 296 candidates. The written test for mathematics and economics will be held at O. C. P. M. Girls Higher Secondary School for 584 aspirants. At Lourdu Annai Higher Secondary School, the examinations for English and chemistry will be conducted for 397 candidates. For 367 aspirants appearing for physics and geology, the examination centre is St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School. For botany and commerce, the centre will be Nirmala Girls Higher Secondary School.
