Rupee ends higher

MUMBAI: The rupee recovered and ended higher against the U.S. currency after stock prices made a smart comeback on the Bombay Stock Exchange on fresh buying activity by domestic mutual funds.

In an active trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the Indian unit opened lower at 46.32/34 a dollar against Monday's close of 46.30/31 and after moving in a range of 46.2400 and 46.3500, ended at 46.2750/2850.

Elsewhere, the Indian currency closed higher against the euro and yen. — PTI
