Hat-trick by Haseeb
Md. Haseeb struck six times, including a hat-trick, to fashion Secunderabad Sporting Club's impressive 9-0 victory against Coronation in an `A'-2 Division hockey league championship match here. Haseeb scored four goals in the first session and two after the break. A brace by Manjunath and a solo effort by Syed Mahmood Saheb completed the tally for the winners. In another match, Royal Club defeated Friends Club 6-1 with left-in Deep Singh and Vishnuvardhan scoring three goals apiece. For the loser, centre-forward Rahul reduced the margin.
Big win for Sai Grammar
Sai Grammar School scored a nine-wicket win over Pratibha Model School in the Ranga Reddy district women's cricket tournament here. The scores: Pratibha Model School 38 in 13.2 overs (Mary three for 16) lost to Sai Grammar School 40 for one in 5.3 overs. GMS 144 for four in 20 overs (Bhavya 41, Afreen 45 not out) bt ABC Concept School 125 in 18.4 overs (Indumathi four for 31, Bhavani three for 35).
