VISAKHAPATNAM: Chairman and Managing Director of Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (EPDCL) Praveen Prakash has expressed satisfaction over the functioning of Tyco distribution boxes. He said on Thursday that the boxes installed at Poorna Market sub-station and other places would keep the cables in order. The rustproof and unbreakable boxes are made of ergonomic plastic. The boxes will enable easy installation of service connection with lock and key system and prevent pilferage of energy. In case of default, it has a system for auto-switch off. During inspection in Narsipatnam, he took the Assistant Engineer and Assistant Divisional Engineer of the town to task for delay in releasing power connection to persons who remitted the amount under Rajiv Gandhi Grameena Vidyut Yojna in Indiramma villages.
