Mystery shrouds woman's death

Mother lodges complaint with police

VISAKHAPATNAM: A pregnant woman died under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday night. The Three Town Police booked a case of suspicious death following a complaint on Thursday. According to Sub-Inspector Papa Rao, Bujji, 28, was living with a construction labourer Arasada Lakshmana Rao for the past three years. She complained of chest pain and was rushed to hospital near Rama Talkies junction. She was referred to KGH for advanced treatment but died on way.

Bujji's mother lodged a complaint that Lakshmana Rao used to beat her daughter when he was under the influence of alcohol. The body was sent for post-mortem examination.

House burgled

Uidentified miscreants broke into a house at Chinamushidiwada and stole gold ornaments weighing eight tolas and a DVD player on Thursday.

According to the police, Chintala Arun Kumar of Sramasakthi Nagar and his wife left home after locking the house. His wife returned home in the evening and found the lock on the main door broken and the ornaments and DVD player missing. On a complaint filed by Arun Kumar, Pendurthy SI D. Appala Naidu booked a case.
