Letters to the Editor
This refers to the editorial "Style, substance, and character" (Sept. 6). The curtain has been drawn on a career that touched everything from abysmal to astounding, leaving its footprints on millions of tennis loving hearts across the world. Andre Agassi has played his last match but his heroic efforts at transforming himself from a loud showman into an understated sportsman have scripted a tennis story that will always be part of the lore of the game. His rivalry with Pete Sampras took the sport to a realm of genius that is rare in the sport.
