Deepmala, Ram set meet records

NEW DELHI: Ram Niwas and L. Deepmala Devi set meet records in decathlon and women's 20km walk respectively on the second day of the 72nd all-India Railways athletics championships at the Nehru Stadium here on Wednesday.

Ram Niwas of North Western compiled 6867 points to better his own record of 6836 set last year. Deepmala of Eastern clocked 1:43.49 against her own mark of 1:46.58 recorded last year.
