CHENNAI: Left-arm spinner R. Pandiaraj's five-wicket haul helped Districts-I win the TNCA U-19 Sumeru Soft cricket tournament. His performance restricted City-IV to 107, which was overhauled by Districts-I on day one of the two-day match. City-IV performed noticeably better in the second innings, but it came too late to impact the result. Districts-I won by virtue of the first innings lead. The scores: City-IV 107 in 42.5 overs (Sanjay Christopher 42, R. Pandiaraj five for 20) & 195 for five in 54 overs (S. Murali 67, Sanjay Christopher 46) lost to Districts-I 178 in 83.2 overs (S. Venkatvasan 40, I.G. Tabarak Baig 33, M. Prabhu four for 58, Einstein three for 47).
