MALAPPURAM: A two-day national seminar on `global convergence in commerce education' organised jointly by the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Calicut University, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) concluded on the university campus on Thursday. Delivering the keynote address at the valedictory session, Punjab National Bank zonal manager S.P. Singh called upon the banking sector to diversify its service area for competitive advantages. Calicut University Registrar P.P. Mohammed presided over the function. K.P. Muraleedharan, head of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, welcomed the gathering. P. Mohan, Reader at the Department of Commerce and Management Studies, proposed a vote of thanks.
