Talent search

Unified council will conduct the national and state-level science talent search examination on January 28 and February 4, 2007. The ISO-certified council's exam aims to provide challenging and quality educational experience to students from class III to XII. All participants will get a free success series book, which covers memory techniques, effective learning, methodology and mnemonics. There are prizes worth Rs. 7 lakh to be won. `BOSCH Vaahan'

Canara Bank has launched `BOSCH Vaahan,' a vehicle for popularising the usage of hand-held power tool in rural areas, on Wednesday. The van would travel through rural areas in the next three months. General manager R. Prabha said the Bank has tied up with Mico-Bosch to finance power tools. A loan amount up to Rs. 1 lakh would be granted under the `Cantools' scheme.

Onam celebration

The Madras Kerala Samaj will organise a variety of programmes as part of Onam celebration. `Onachanda' will be inaugurated by Gokulam Gopalan 1 at 8.30 a.m. on September. The fair will be held at the Samajam premises on Poonamallee High Road.

Creative rendezvous

Training on meditation

The Institute of Sri Ramachandra Consciousness at IIT Campus will conduct a free two-day training programme on Pranahuti-aided meditation on September 9 and 10. Course will be held between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at B-1, Lakeview Road in IIT campus. The course will cover the spiritual way of living, meditation, pranahuti and spiritual progress.
