CHENNAI:
Distribution of welfare assistance, poor feeding and blood donation marked the fifth death anniversary of G.K. Moopanar on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu Congress president M. Krishanasswamy, Union Minister G.K. Vasan, party MPs and MLAs paid homage at the memorial at Kamaraj Bhavan.
Mr. Vasan distributed tri-cycles to 75 handicapped to mark the 75th birth anniversary of Moopanar, hearing aid and saris and dhotis to the poor.
Desiya Murpooku Dravida Kazhagam president Vijayakant and Muslim League MP Khader Mohaideen paid homage at the memorial.
