Delegation meets Speaker, Chief Minister

HYDERABAD: Dissident Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators, who have been staying away from the protests by party colleagues in the Assembly, approached Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday seeking protection.

M. Satyanaryana Reddy, D. Srinivasa Rao, Narayan Rao Patel, T. Jayaprakash Reddy and B. Shara Rani met the Speaker and the Chief Minister and expressed fears that TRS loyalists might harm them.

They explained to him as to how some activists ransacked the house of Mr. Srinivasa Rao here on Wednesday.

Both Speaker and Chief Minister said steps would be taken to provide security to them and culprits punished.
