DAV, Sreshtha Vihar clinches under-16title

NEW DELHI: Bharat Bajaj and Kaustav Das scored fluent wins as DAV School, Sreshtha Vihar defeated Modern School, Barakhamba Road to clinch the boys' U-16 title in the Delhi Yamuna Sports Complex Members Forum inter-school badminton tournament here on Thursday.

The results (finals):

Boys: U-16: DAV School, Sreshtha Vihar bt Modern School, Barakhamba Road, 2-0 (Bharat Bajaj bt Raunaq Kapoor 21-13, 21-14; Kaustav Das bt Akash Narang 21-12, 21-19). U-13: Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Ludlow Castle No. 1 bt ASN Public School, Mayur Vihar 2-0 (Yash Nain bt Vaibhav Verma 21-11, 21-12; Ashish Sachdeva bt Ashish Sharma 21-16, 21-14). U-10: Rohan Kapoor bt Shikhar Agarwal 18-21, 21-12, 22-20.

Girls: U-16: Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar bt Modern School, Barakhamba Road, 2-1 (Neetika bt Ananya Verma 21-5, 21-9; Seema Chug lost to Peppino Behl 14-21, 9-21; Neetika & Seema bt Ananya & Peppino 21-8, 15-21, 21-16). U-13: Modern School, Barakhamba Road bt DPS, Mathura Road 2-0 (Gauri Asija bt Laxmi Alekha 21-13, 21-16; Shreya Aggarwal bt Shambhavi Bajaj 21-12, 21-11).
