Host of VIPs likely to attend 4-day TAAI convention

Over 1,500 delegates expected to attend meet which begins on September 1


  • TAAI convention to be held on the theme `Future is now'
  • Hyderabad International Convention Centre to be the venue
  • YSR likely to inaugurate the `Indian Travel Congress'

    HYDERABAD: Over 1,500 delegates are expected to attend the four-day 55th convention and exhibition of the Travel Agents' Association of India (TAAI) with the theme `Future is now' beginning September 1 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre.

    Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy is likely to inaugurate the `Indian Travel Congress', which will highlight `unique' tourism opportunities both from the point of view of destinations for tourists and entrepreneurs to invest in.

    The delegates will include airlines chiefs, hotel industry majors and international participants.

    Among the prominent persons likely to attend are Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha L. K. Advani, Chhattisgarh Tourism Minister and secretaries and officials of tourism departments from several States.

    Some prominent speakers will include Vijay Mallya, MP, Dinesh Keshkar, senior vice-president (marketing), Boeing Inc, Gopinath, Air Deccan CMD, T. Trivedi, Indian CMD, Alok Sharma of Sahara, V. Tulasidas, Air-India CMD, Kiran Gandhi, MD, GMR Infrastructure, Larry Kingshot, Jet Airways COO and Bruce Ashby, Indigo CEO.
