School boy killed in accident

HYDERABAD: An eighth standard student returning home from school near Hayathnagar was run over by a lorry on city fringes on Saturday.

The victim Srikanth Reddy, 13, of Gowthami school, boarded a bus to reach his house in Kavadipally around 6.30 p.m. He got down at Abdullahpurment and was walking across the road when the lorry going to Vijayawada ran over him.

He died on the spot. Driver of the lorry fled the spot abandoning the vehicle.
