KOCHI: The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has announced the expansion of the Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences to its knowledge village campus in Dubai. With this expansion, the Manipal College of Allied Health Sciences has stepped out of India for the first time, a press release said. Allied health science is a new concept in health care and constitutes a separate stream of health professionals contributing to health care. Allied health care professionals are an integral part of the medical team, along with doctors and nurses. The role of allied health professionals is increasing rapidly and there is enormous demand for qualified professionals, according to the college authorities.
