Merck Specialities launches cancer drug

CHENNAI: Merck Specialities Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Merck KGaA, on Friday announced the introduction of Erbitux, a new gold standard targeted therapy for the treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC) in India. Erbitux, which has already obtained approval for the treatment of CRC in 53 countries, is a significant step forward in the management of cancer in India, says a company release.
