Premiere of film on Hitler

`Downfall', a film that chronicles the last 12 days in the life of Adolf Hitler, will premiere at Sree (in Sathyam cinemas) at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The film recreates the days of April 1945, with Germany under siege and the Russians knocking at the gates of Berlin at the end of World War II.
Hitler is forced to take refuge in the Berlin Bunker, where he alternates between blind optimism in his armed forces' ability to fight back, and crazed ranting over the incompetence of his generals ... but he finally realises that resistance is impossible and prepares for the inevitable. `Downfall' also depicts the fate of those closest to him.
A critically acclaimed movie, `Downfall' was nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
The premiere will be at 7 p.m.
