Jamshedpur: Sunil Kumar emerged champion in the 50kg weight category defeating Agayev Ilkin of Azerbaijan on Sunday in the World cadet boxing championships held in Istanbul, Turkey. According to Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) sources, Sunil cheered on by his fans and the chief coach Mahender Singh Dhaka won the first round by 13:8 points with quick short jabs and straight punches.
In the cadet category, when the difference of scores of the boxers is 15 points, the bout is stopped and the boxer, who is leading is declared the winner by RSC. UNI
