CBI checks airline office

NEW DELHI:
A surprise joint check was carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation and Vigilance Department of the public sector carrier Indian as part of their probe into allegations of irregularities in 2005 Assistant Manager Examinations.
The joint check was carried out at the airlines office here over the weekend, highly placed CBI sources told The Hindu.
Sources said all concerned papers and documents, including examination papers and mark sheets, relating to the allegations have been seized.
Sources said the CBI headquarters here had received complaints of irregularities in the exam conducted last year for the promotion of senior superintendents to the rank of assistant managers in Indian Airlines, now renamed as Indian.
