Letters to the Editor
This refers to the editorial "The elusive mole" (Aug. 3) and the cartoonscape. Ten years after an agent is said to have leaked nuclear secrets from the PMO of P.V. Narasimha Rao, there is a manic search for the `mole' and the reputation of civil servants is being besmirched by gossip and innuendo. It is best to cap this silly episode and get back to normal life. If the Prime Minister sees merit in a quiet internal inquiry, he should go ahead. Otherwise he should ignore the issue. As for Jaswant Singh, he should do what he did in the six years of NDA rule keep mum.
