Online banking at Union Bank branch

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Mangamaripeta branch of Union Bank of India started offering core banking solutions (online banking) from Monday.

V. Srinivasan, Commanding Officer, INS Kalinga, and K. Joshua, Chief Executive and Project Director, Andhra Pradesh Shrimp Seed Production and Supply Centre (TASPARC), inaugurated the facility in the branch.

Mangamaripeta is the second rural branch to be brought under core banking solutions (CBS) to provide better service to customers in the area, particularly employees of INS Kalinga and TASPARC, according to S. Aftab, Assistant General Manager of the bank's Regional Office here.

Services offered

CBS offers Internet banking, tele-banking and trading, ticket-booking, tax and utility payment online.

Customers can avail themselves of the bank's services in 800 branches online.

Mr. Aftab said an ATM, attached to the branch, would be installed at INS Kalinga to provide services in the Visakhapatnam-Bhimunipatnam area.
