Only ink cartridges missing: Ministry

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Defence Ministry on Saturday clarified that no hard drive, disc or printer had been stolen from Room No. 49 from South Hutments, headquarters of the Integrated Defence Services (IDS) at Kashmir House.

Responding to a news report in a section of the press, the Ministry said that 13 computer printer ink cartridges worth about Rs. 17,000 were missing from the store-keeper's table drawer.

As per rules, a police station (Chanakyapuri) was informed about the theft and an FIR was lodged by IDS headquarters on July 25.

However, taking a serious view of the incident, the Ministry ordered a court of inquiry and said that further action would follow after submission of the inquiry report.
