India has responded to Musharraf's proposals
Islamabad:
Pakistan has said it has received a communication from India in response to its President Pervez Musharraf's proposals with regard to demilitarisation, self-governance and joint management to resolve the Kashmir issue.
Pakistan has received a "non paper" from India in response to Gen. Musharraf's proposals and "we were discussing these before the Mumbai blasts and it needs a lot of hard work. It is not an easy situation, it is a complex issue and both sides have to work collectively," Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri said.
On whether the Indian proposal on Kashmir was anywhere close to Gen. Musharraf's ideas of self-governance and joint management. PTI
