Law to regulate computer education urged

KOZHIKODE: Desiya Vanitha Sevak Samaj (DVSS), a social welfare group, has demanded the introduction of laws dealing with infrastructure, qualification of faculty, fees and curriculum in the computer education sector in the State. K.V. Basheer and Rajesh V. Nair, trustees of DVSS said at a press conference here on Friday that it such laws were necessary in the sector.

DVSS aims at increasing participation of women in the computer field by imparting high quality computer education at lower costs.

A total of 2000 women would be imparted computer education free-of-cost this academic year, they said.

The coaching would be provided at the 150-odd computer centres under DVSS across the State.
