Flying Knight triumphs

HYDERABAD: Miss Ameeta Mehra's Flying Knight (D. Singh up) won the S. Malakonda Reddy Memorial Cup, the main event of the races held here on Monday (July 24). The winner is trained by Netto

Fines & suspension:In the Subhash Chandra Bose Plate, Div I, trainer Deshmukh was fined Rs.1,000 for failing to exercise sufficient care in the saddling of his charge Barcelona (Suraj Narredu) whose saddle slipped back in the straight.

In same race, jockey S.Sreekant (Cannon Spy) was fined Rs.1,000 for shifting out soon after the start forcing out runners drawn on his outside resulting in interference to First Mover (I.Chisty).

In the Anantapur Plate, Div I, jockey Gallagher (Maximise) was fined Rs.1,000 for shifting in at about 350 metres causing interference to Citi Storm (Laxman).

In the Ratanlal Gupta Memorial Cup run on July 17, the stewards suspended jockey D.Singh (Onnu Onnu Onnu) from riding in races with effect from Aug. 3, 2006 to Aug. 7, 2006 both days inclusive for careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in at about 1,000 metres in the process causing interference to Touch Of Gold (R.B. Shinde) and thereafter shifted in again at about 100 metres causing interference to Visionahld (P.Uday Kiran). Permitted to ride work.
