Insurance policy for journalists to be renewed

HYDERABAD: The State Government has agreed to renew the group mediclaim insurance policy scheme for working journalists in 2006-07, including representatives of the electronic media, at the instance of the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists.

Last date

G. Anjaneyulu, general secretary of the unionon Friday said the scheme was now in its third year. August 5 is the last date for submitting fresh applications and renewals at the State union office.

He said new members could obtain the prescribed form and submit it along with a DD for Rs.780, including the revised service tax, two stamp size photographs (member, spouse and two children).
