Final day's play washed out

Sydney: Inclement weather forced the final day to be abandoned as India A's Top End tour match against Australia ended in a draw at Cazalys Stadium in Cairns on Friday. The umpires called off the match shortly after lunch.

Australia `A' opener Phil Jaques was named man of the match for his two centuries in the match.

The scores: Australia `A' 461 for four decl. and 274 for seven decl. drew with India `A' 254 and 117 for no loss. — UNI
