Kunte slips to joint second spot
NEW DELHI:
Grandmaster Abhijit Kunte (five points) slipped to the joint second spot after drawing with Israel's Alexander Huzman in the sixth round of the Canadian Open chess tournament in Kitchener on Friday.
Cuba's Walter Arencibia leads with 5.5 points.
Chandrashekhar Gokhale moved to four points after drawing with Canadian GM Mark Bluvshtein.
However, Rahul Shetty (4) suffered his second loss when he went down to Cuban International Master Fidel Corrales. Swati Ghate (3.5) suffered her third loss after being tamed by Canada's David Peng.
