CHENNAI: International Management Group (IMG), a premier sports, entertainment and media company, received the ATP's Player Services Award of Excellence recently, according to a press release. The award was presented at the International Tournament Directors' meeting during the Wimbledon championships where the ATP CEO Brad Drewett handed over the award to Fernando Soler, tournament director of Chennai Open. The $ 400,000 Chennai Open is organised by the IMG. In a release, Drewett said, "the Chennai Open has for many years had a strong reputation for its outstanding and in particular wonderful hospitality towards its players. The ATP always receives a lot of positive feedback from the players about the warmth and friendliness of everyone involved with the Chennai Open, including the staff, hotel, sponsors and fans. It is therefore appropriate that we commend the Chennai Open for providing such high-quality event to the ATP players." V. Narayanan, President, TNTA said, "we are thrilled to receive the award from ATP."
