Bangalore Friends in second phase

BANGALORE: Bangalore Friends entered the second phase of the `C' Division hockey league with an 8-0 victory over Mico (Nagnathpura) here on Saturday.

Ronald (3), Bharath Kumar (2), Mahendran, Nanda and Dayal were the goalscorers.

In Group `B', Shri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College downed Falcons 3-1 with Mohammed Nayeem (2) and Puneet netting for the winners, while Pradeep struck a consolation goal for Falcons.

In another match, Young Stars (Hubli) BCYA `A' 3-0. Krishna, Naveen and Jaswant struck for the Hubli side before Srinivas pulled one back for the loser.
