Golf
Okayama (Japan): Jeev Milkha Singh carded a disappointing one-over 73 to lose his overnight lead and slip to the tied 10th spot after the second round of the Mizuno Open golf here. The current Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit leader shot three birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey to slip down the leaderboard with a two-day total of five-under 139. The Volvo China Open winner is three shots behind leader Dinesh Chand of Fiji, who carded a four-under 68 to take a one shot lead over Korean Sk Ho (67).
Atwal misses the cut
A vastly improved show of four-under 67 could not help Arjun Atwal's cause as he missed the cut by a single shot, but Daniel Chopra's six-under 65 was enough to take him to the eighth spot after the second round of the $5 million Booz Allen Classic in Potomac (U.S). Meanwhile, Daniel Chopra's form got better as he fired seven birdies to jump to the eighth spot. The Indian-born Swede is now seven shots behind leader Ben Curtis (127) of America.
Randhawa tied 22nd
Jyoti Randhawa returned a card of two-under 71 to move up to the tied 22nd position, but compatriot Shiv Kapur fell tantalisingly short of the cut line and crashed out of the Johnnie Walker Championship in Gleneagles (Scotland). Colin Montgomerie took the halfway lead after his second successive round of 68. UNI
