CHENNAI: Air France will introduce tri-weekly Paris-Chennai and Chennai-Paris flights from October 30 and 31. The 291-seater Airbus-340 flight (AF-158) will leave Paris at 10.20 a.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and arrive in Chennai at 25 minutes past midnight (local time), a press release said. The service (AF-157) will depart from Chennai at 2.10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and reach Paris at 8.35 a.m. (local time). Air France will also be increasing capacity on other flights. The Paris-Mumbai route will be operated using the Boeing-777-300 series jet with a seating capacity of 310 instead of the Boeing-777-200 with 270 seats. Also, seven weekly flights will be operated from Bangalore, up from five. Air France and KLM will offer 42 weekly frequencies to Bangalore, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
