He is wanted by Punjab police in about 20 cases

NEW DELHI: Kulbir Singh Kulbeera alias Barapind of the Khalistan Commando Force was brought to India by a Punjab police team on Sunday night from the U.S. following his extradition ordered by the competent American court.

His extradition is the culmination of nine years of efforts by Interpol India and Ministries of Home and External Affairs, to bring him to face the law of the land, CBI said in a release here.

Kulbeera is wanted by the Punjab police in about 20 cases, ranging from mass murder to snatching of weapons from the police, killing of police personnel and bank dacoity.

Kulbeera fled the country to the U.S. using a false passport in the name of Mahim Mehra.
