Indian Bank's concessional loan for farmers

HYDERABAD: Farmers can now avail themselves of short-term credit from Indian Bank at concessional interest rate of seven per cent per annum. In a press release, the bank's DGM, T. S. Bhaskaran, said Indian Bank introduced the scheme in tune with the Union Finance Minsiter's Budget announcement. The Union Government will provide interest subvention of 2 per cent per annum for short-term production credit up to Rs. 3 lakh for farmers.
