Trains diverted

Thiruvananthapuram: Train No. 6327 Bilaspur- Thiruvananthapuram Express will run via Alappuzha on May 29 owing to non-interlocking work between Ernakulam Town and Thripunithura. Train No.0635 Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuam holiday special, train no.s 6349/ 6350 Thiruvanathapuram- Mangalore- Thiruvananthapuram Parasuram Express and train no.s 7229/ 7230 Thiruvananthapuram- Hyderabad- Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express will run via Alappuzha from May 29 to 31. The above trains will stop at Haripad, Ambalappuzha, Alappuzha and Shertala.

The Thiruvananthapuram- Shoranur- Thiruvananthapuram Venad Express train no.s 6302/ 6301 and the Thiruvananthapuram- New Delhi- Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express train no.s 2625/ 2626 will be diverted through Ernakulam Town without touching Ernakulam Junction.

The Railways on Saturday announced a departure from its earlier announcement that all passenger trains from Shoranur, Alappuzha and Kottayam would be terminated short of Ernakulam. Train no.s 647/ 648 and 649/ 650 on the Shoranur- Ernakulam route will be cancelled between Ernakulam and Aluva. Train no.s 341 and 346 Ernakulam- Kottayam- Ernakulam, train no.s 343/ 344 Ernakulam- Kayankulam- Ernakulam and train no.s 355/ 352 Ernakulam- Kollam- Ernakulam will be cancelled beween Ernakulam and Thripunithura.

Train no.s 332 and 337 Ernakulam- Alappuzha- Ernakulam and no.s 334, 336 and 335, 339 Ernakulam- Kayamkulam- Ernakulam passenger services will be cancelled between Ernakulam and Kumbalam.

Train no.s 301/ 302, 305/ 306, 342, 345 and 331, 338 will be curtailed between Ernakulam and Aluva/ Thripunithura/ Kumbalam.

In a separate press note, the Railways announced that the Ernakulam- Nizamuddin Mangala Express train no. 2617 would depart from Ernakulam Junction at 10.45 a.m. instead of 12.45 p.m. from June 10 following the implementation of the monsoon time-table for trains via the Konkan Railway.
