Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar's selection for the four-Test series in the West Indies will be determined after he undergoes a fitness Test on Tuesday morning at the Mumbai Cricket Association's new facility at the Bandra-Kurla Complex. Tendulkar will fly to London on Tuesday night where he has an appointment there with Dr. Andrew Wallace, who operated on him in March, on Wednesday. Tendulkar had recently spent some days at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai under the watchful eyes of trainer Ramji Srinivasan and physiotherapist Andrew Leipus. Leipus, who has decided to settle down and establish his business in Mumbai, has been appointed in the absence of Gloster physiotherapist by the BCCI to look after the welfare of the injured players like Laxmipathi Balaji, Murali Kartik, Wasim Jaffer and Tendulkar. After freeing himself off the sling, Tendulkar batted in the nets in Mumbai and Chennai. He practised at the Bandra-Kurla Complex on Monday in the presence of Leipus and elder brother Ajit. "Tendulkar has followed a rehab regimen, trained hard and practised in the nets. Hopefully we will hear something encouraging and positive on Monday,'' said Kiran More, chairman of the national selection committee. The selectors meet here on Wednesday to pick the team for the four Test series against the West Indies. Special Correspondent
