Easy win for Leela Krishna

HYDERABAD: Leela Krishna defeated Vedanth Agarwal 8-0 in the boys under-12 first round of the AP State-ranking tennis tournament organised by Sree Ganesh Raman Tennis Centre (Bowenpally) here.

Rajiv Singh wins

Rajiv Singh of Nizam Club got the better of Shabana Banu (APBSA) 91-100, 100-93, 100-81 in the preliminary round of the inaugural Nizam Club inter-club billiards tournament for Tarachand Bhagwandas Solanki memorial rolling trophy here.

The results: Ashish Kumar (NCS) bt Ismail Ibrahim (NCH) 101-64, 101-41; K. Venkatesham (SCR) bt Rajiv Singh (NCH) 100-8, 100-22.

Charan, Kamal win titles

Charan Kumar and Kamal Hassan won the seniors and juniors titles respectively in the Golf Association of Andhra Pradesh's annual summer coaching camp tournament held here. G.J. Dawson, organising secretary, hoped that the young talent would continue to show the same interest in the sport in the long run and make optimum use of the facilities available. K.V. Brahmananda Reddy, special secretary, Government of AP, gave away the prizes.

Good knock by Srikanth (73) helped The Hindu score a four-wicket win against State Bank of Hyderabad `B' in the SBH day-and-night corporate cricket tournament here.

The scores: Aegis BPO 176 for seven (Raj Kumar 70) lost to CSC 178 for four (Rajat 56 not out, Ram Sarma 43).

SBH `B' 144 for five lost to The Hindu 145 for six (Srikanth 73, Shylender 45).

Capco Capacitors 140 lost to Kun United `A' 143 for five (Manoj 69, Sridhar 42).

APHC members for

West Indies

Four players of Andhra Pradesh High Court will represent Indian Advocates Cricket Association team on its twin tour of West Indies and England for invitation matches.

The team will play two matches in Trinidad, one in Barbodas and three in London and will leave on May 24.

The APHC members: P. Suresh Kumar, K. Suryanarayana, Raja Sripathi Rao and Jokka Vijay Kumar.

Chaitanya to lead

Chaitanya Bhatnagar will lead Loyola Cricket Academy in the All India Pepsi cricket tournament for under-17 in Bangalore from May 24 to 30.
