NEW DELHI: The coach of the Indian under-14 tennis team, T. Chandrasekaran expressed his happiness on the superb performance of Yuki Bhambri who had played a significant role to help India qualify for the World group in the Asia-Oceania World Junior Cup tennis tournament in Jakarta. "All the credit should go to Yuki. There was quite a bit of evidence that he would go on to be a top class player. He hit the ball well and had intelligent variation. He played all the matches with confidence and won with convincing scores against the best of teams including the eventual champion China. He was a class apart from the other two players in the team,'' said coach Chandrasekaran, as he heaped praise on the Delhi lad who was sought by the IMG representative for possible support. "We could have beaten China also, but Yuki did not have the support in the doubles. If he grows strong physically, Yuki is going to be a handful for a lot of players,'' said coach Chandrasekaran who returned along with the teams. Incidentally, the under-14 boys team was the only one among eight such Indian teams spread over two years to qualify for the next stage. The world group competition will be held in Europe later in the season.
